The Gigaset SL75 WLAN: Capture and share the moment – now!

Press Release: Berlin, Sep 2, 2005 | The Gigaset SL75 WLAN cordless phone from Siemens CPE Customer Premises Equipment offers new ways to experience Internet communication. Broadband users with a WLAN router will take this wireless LAN Voice-over-IP handset beyond the house or garden and make Internet calls from any WLAN gateway with open access, without a running PC. To enjoy WLAN flexibility, the modern, attractive handset enables storage of several WLAN access point profiles for easy switching between WLAN networks – at home, in the workplace, at holiday cottages or friends’ houses.

As well as making phone calls, the Gigaset SL75 WLAN permits communication using the instant messaging service (IM) functions. Instead of only notifying of incoming emails like the Gigaset S35 WLAN, the Gigaset SL75 WLAN’s complete email functionality allows emails to be sent and received with photo attachments. Now special moments can be captured on the integrated digital camera and shared instantly with family and friends anywhere in the world.

The handset’s rich telephone book will store up to 200 entries, with names, numbers, email and postal addresses. Contact data and ringer tones are imported directly from the PC to the Gigaset via WLAN – without a data cable. Using the colored graphic display’s calling animation or assigning one of up to 16 standard or uploaded polyphonic ringer tones to key contacts enable callers to be recognized without even picking up the phone.

The Gigaset SL75 WLAN will be available from November 2005 in night grey for approximately EUR 299.
