Experience UMTS – with the Siemens SXG75 high-tech mobile for navigation on the move and multimedia communication
Press Release: Munich, Sep 16, 2005 | The SXG75 from Siemens, which received early praise from trade visitors, media and network operators on its presentation at the CeBIT 2005, will be available from October 2005. Mobile navigation, photos, videos, music and fast downloads – this high-tech mobile for third-generation cellular technology leaves nothing to be desired. With an integrated 2-megapixel camera, a second camera for video conferencing, a large color display, an organizer as well as an RDS radio, MP3 and video player, the equipment is virtually complete. Moreover, even better sound can be achieved simply by attaching the “ Mobile Music Set” with high-quality active speakers (available as an optional accessory). Is just making calls not enough? Emails, MMS and Instant Messaging bring variety to mobile communication, while Bluetooth ensures wireless convenience.
Whether on a business trip or a leisure outing, the city map can be happily left at home. Because of the integrated GPS receiver, the pre-installed navigation software and navigation service (availability dependent on service or network operator), the SXG75 helps users find their way anywhere with ease. Visual and vocal instructions direct users reliably to their destination, making the SXG75 the perfect guide. Users can also get current restaurant tips and information on special offers in shops or interesting tourist sights. Furthermore, the built-in translator for English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese and Spanish makes communication problems a thing of the past.
UMTS is putting the turbo into mobile communications. Many new applications can be used now for the first time thanks to the high speed of data transfer across these new networks. Be it for chatting with a friend per video call or downloading movies directly onto the phone – the SXG75 makes multimedia into a mobile experience.
Always in the picture: The built-in 2-megapixel digital camera will replace a conventional camera when on the move and also record short video clips. The photo editor provided will then subsequently put the finishing touches to the photographs. When making video calls, a second camera at the front of the device ensures that SXG75 users can be seen by their callers.
Pocket-sized movie theater: Using video streaming, favorite movies can be downloaded directly from the Internet onto the phone via a fast UMTS connection and viewed on the large color display. Those who prefer to listen to music can use the SXG75 as a mobile radio or MP3 player. In conjunction with the "Mobile Music Set" (original accessory), the mobile phone becomes a portable stereo system that pumps superb sound from its active speakers. Surfing the net, reading emails, sending a Multimedia Message (MMS) or chatting with friends using Instant Messaging – all of these can be done equally quickly and conveniently while on the move with the SXG75.
With 128 MB of internal memory (of which 64 MB is usable space), the SGX75 affords plenty of room to store pictures, videos, MP3 tracks, games and other practical applications. The memory available can be extended to as much as 1 gigabyte simply by plugging RS (reduced-size) multimedia cards into the phone. Additionally, the integrated organizer makes every day go more smoothly. All the user’s tasks, contacts, notes and appointments can always be kept to hand and kept up to date constantly through regular synchronization with a desktop PC.
High-tech eye-catcher: The design of this stylish phone is just as modern as the technology it embodies. Clear lines and quality materials along with the color combinations of silver with either black or white elements accentuate its elegant appearance. Weighing only 134 grams, its striking shape and elevated casing in the lower region lend an unmistakable aspect to this UMTS phone.
In addition to the "IMS-700 Mobile Music Set", a wide range of further original Siemens accessories is also available for the SXG75. These include a selection of headsets such as wireless Bluetooth headsets, a stereo headset for particularly good sound as well as the fashionable “Purestyle” headset. Moreover, a number of high-quality, handsfree Siemens Bluetooth solutions is also on offer for wireless in-car use. An attachable camera flash, a choice of chargers, a data cable and a practical carrying case complete the portfolio.
Available in the colors “Metallic White” and “Metallic Black”, the SXG75 will be on sale in the premium price range from October 2005.
